RadFlight Systems & Analytics was recently formed by merging RadFlight Inc.’s entertainment drone expertise with Epiphany Systems and Science’s military drone expertise to deliver a new class of industrial drone technology.
With extensive research and development history since 2012 RadFlight technology has already been field tested in various applications with unprecedented success. Aerial cinematography for several popular TV shows such as History channel’s American Pickers, ABC’s Modern Family etc., and distributed multiple unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) control for the Air Force Research Laboratory are a few such examples.

Mike Rivard: CEO Business Development
Mike Rivard is a pioneer and leader in drone industry. He is often the face/voice of the drone industry with the media. Mike is president and organizer of the 1,200+ member Los Angeles / Orange County Drone User Group. He is also founder and president of the SoCal Drone Zone. Prior to his focus on the burgeoning drone industry,Rivard was president of Digital Spectaculars, Inc., an electronic billboard company. He was also president of Red Dragon Media, an advertising and marketing agency that specialized in developing and implementing traditional media and online ad campaigns and promotions for a number of high-profile clients.
Dr. Bo Ryu: Chairman
Dr. Ryu has a wealth of successful high-risk, high-payoff research & development experience over the last 20 years. Prior to founding EpiSys Science, Inc. in 2012, he served as Director for the Networking and Systems Research Group at Argon ST Networking Systems with responsibilities for managing internal research projects, pursuing new Government programs, and performing various Government-and industry-sponsored projects. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University.
Dr. Nadeesha Ranasinghe: CTO
Dr. Ranasinghe is a Computer Science PhD graduated from the University of Southern California. He joined EpiSci as a senior research scientist in 2012, and specializes in detecting and adapting to unpredictable changes in autonomous robots and agents. He is co-inventor of the Surprise-Based Learning algorithm together with his PhD Professor Wei-Min Shen
Dr. Wei-Min Shen
Dr. Shen is the Director of Polymorphic Robotics Laboratory, the Associate Director of the Center for Robotics and Embedded Systems, and a Research Associate Professor in Computer Science at USC and ISI. He received his Ph.D. under Nobel Laureate Professor Herbert A. Simon from Carnegie Mellon University in 1989. Shen has more than 20 years of research experience and his current research interests include self-re-configurabl and metamorphic systems, autonomous robots, & machine learning.
Russell Latimer
Russell has a BA degree from Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara in Motion Picture Production. He worked in Hollywood for a while and eventually went on to become Art Director at Symantec Corporation (Norton Security products). He was there for 10 years. At that time it was the 4rd largest software company in the world. Russell left Symantec to start his own company, Eye Of Mine Action Cameras which was one of the first GoPro dealers. Russell has joined Radflight because he sees the potential of Drones in many avenues. "You haven't seen anything yet. Keep an eye on RadFlight! "
Chris Alford: Mechanical Engineer
Chris has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic San Luis Obispo. He went into the aerospace field and designed the structure and mechanisms for the small spacecraft Lightsail-1, which recently launched into space and successfully deployed its experimental solar sail propulsion system. He also began building and flying his own custom designed drones as a hobby. After being frustrated with the current state of the drone industry Chris joined RadFlight to advance drones away from the toy and hobby roots, to high performance, industrial level systems.
